It is with great joy that we announce, Archbishop John Wilson has appointed our Parish Priest, Fr Saju Pinakkattu Thomas, as a Chapter Canon of the Metropolitan Cathedral Church of St George and a member of Archbishop’s college of consulters.
Canon Saju (pictured) will be formally installed by the Archbishop at the Cathedral on Friday 6th November 2026 at 6pm, during the Solemn Mass of Dedication of the Cathedral. All parishioners are welcome to attend this special Mass.
This is a great honour and a proud moment for our parish of St Joseph & St. Swithun, Bromley. Please keep Fr. Saju in your prayers.
Please keep Fr Patrick in your prayers as he takes up his appointment as Assistant Priest at St Peter the Apostle Parish, Woolwich on 1st September.
If you would like to express your appreciation, gratitude, and affection for him, envelopes bearing his name are available at the back of the church.
Please also sign Fr Patrick’s Leaving Card which will be presented to him at the 11.00am Mass on Sunday 6th September. Light refreshments will be served after the Mass.
