I came to RCIA as a curious Anglican who had felt the pull towards Catholicism for a long time. I had a deep admiration for Pope Francis, and he was my inspiration to finally respond to God’s invitation to seek full communion with the Catholic church.
My advice to anyone considering whether to join RCIA Journey in Faith can be condensed into three words: go for it!
You don’t have to decide anything right away regarding conversion, and the course really is designed to be a period of inquiry and discernment.
There’s a huge amount of information about Catholicism on the internet, but some of it is rather misleading. That’s why joining RCIA is so important. Don’t try to figure it out alone!
You’ll have the opportunity to learn from our catechists, priests and Deacon Barry, who are all very knowledgeable, and you can be confident that you’ll get correct information and clear explanations. The added bonus is that Father Saju is a New Testament scholar!
We had a terrific group of candidates and catechumens in my RCIA group, and it was such a blessing to have taken this journey with them all. As well as serious discussions about the Catholic faith, we enjoyed a lot of laughter and many cups of tea together!
Sophia was received into the church at the Easter Vigil in 2026.
